shopping for baby clothes.... sans baby
Alot of you wont know what Bicester village is so ill tell ya, it this pretty 'snazzy', 'high brow' shopping 'mall', 'center', village! its real cute actually and i haven't been in FOR EVER! but since I'm only staying down the road from it, and I'm spending most on my time laying flat out on my back... i requested to mum that we get our coffee fix and 'walk round the block' done at the village today.. then we get to window shop Missoni, Matthew Williamson, D&G, Allsaints etc etc...
well well.... we popped in a couple of the stores on route to coffee...
i had to DRAG myself/do some-sort-of-psychological-talk-to-myself and mum out of the Ralph Lauren kids store.... and I'm blaming it primarily on the below...
i was about to get my purse out and wait at the counter to purchase these... for my baby...
'mum what do u think?? is it crazy to shop for baby clothes when ur not even thinking about trying for one??'
-"well, not really i don't think so..."
'o m g i think i have to have it... i cant leave it here...its the cutest thing I've ever seen'
-"its so sweet, get it!"
[ETC ETC for at least 10Min's]
-ITEMS GET PUT BACK ON RACK-MY ARM LINKS WITH MUMS...
'mum, we gotta get out of here... theres something seriously wrong with us.. we gotta go, we gotta go'
PHEW! that was damn close... But look how CUTE!!!!0-3months baby all-in-one cashmere cable knit and velvet (with dbl breasted gold btn up!!)
omg omg... cozy baby winter warmer all American reindeer sweater LOVE LOVE LOVE
might have to go back tomorrow...

deep sleep dreaming
Woah! these drugs I'm on for pain relief are giving me some really cool dreams!
last night i was partying with some favourite old faces all night long!
Then i found myself in New York City....apartment shopping! WTF? don't know who i think i am but it was real fun while it lasted! i found THE CUTEST little penthouse pad- real small but so so pretty.. wish i could post pics for you.... instead.. enjoy the older party pics that might have influenced last nights dreams...

progress report
Impressive hospital food
Chocolate galore!
love the silver sparkles in this bunch from Dad
Pretty flowers from Will
mums home cooking- bread and butter pudding
The nurses asked the chef to bake me a cake and this is what they came up with! sooo good, it was a classic british sponge cake so yummie (they came in singing happy birthday.. i was sitting on the end of the bed after having my first shower in a couple of days and i was only half dressed and feeling really dizzy and sick-it was pretty comical i felt like an OAP in a nursing home)
the colors were so gorgeous, mum tied them on the end of my bed and i felt like i was going to float away in my dreams
woooah!! just what ive always wanted!
look at the awesome pink and red combo!! nice work Daddy!
My gorgeous bouquet from the girls at FP xoxox
BEAUTIFUL sent from these lillies thanks Pete!
tea and biscuits!! bound to make me better!!
So it turns out back surgery isn't all bad news...
so far I've received 4 bunches of flowers 3 boxes of chocolates and a huge red package full of balloons.. id recommend doing what i did and combine surgery with you birthday because your more likely to receive all of the above in larger quantities! :)
Mum is my super hero! she stayed at the hospital with me every night!! i ended up being there 3 nights, the nurses were lovely and the food was yummy! (going private is definitely the way to go in the UK), now I'm home and mum continues to be the perfect person to look after me, i have a constantly warm hot water bottle, endless cups of tea offered, home made dinners (and desserts), shes been helping me wash, dress and walk. i am forever thank full for her.
Ive spent the last 5 days sleeping ALOT! and not much else, Ive been doing tiny stretches and exercises (given to me from the physio at the hospital) and today i am feeling SOOOO much better! i feel awake for a start, i went for a walk around the block in the frosty Oxfordshire afternoon... so pretty! had my first proper coffee since being home (at last) and finally tonight i will be sleeping in a proper bedroom (upstairs) instead of my make-shift rest-bed in the office downstairs..
so all in all right now I'm comfy in my new 'bedroom' feeling stronger and on the mend, less drugged up than i have in the last week and definitely on the road to recovery.
Thanks to all of you for the well wishes and flowers and cards and calls and messages... you have really made me feel special.
big love xoxox enjoy the pics x
