progress report

Impressive hospital food

Chocolate galore!

love the silver sparkles in this bunch from Dad
Pretty flowers from Will
mums home cooking- bread and butter pudding

The nurses asked the chef to bake me a cake and this is what they came up with! sooo good, it was a classic british sponge cake so yummie (they came in singing happy birthday.. i was sitting on the end of the bed after having my first shower in a couple of days and i was only half dressed and feeling really dizzy and sick-it was pretty comical i felt like an OAP in a nursing home)
the colors were so gorgeous, mum tied them on the end of my bed and i felt like i was going to float away in my dreams

woooah!! just what ive always wanted!
look at the awesome pink and red combo!! nice work Daddy!

My gorgeous bouquet from the girls at FP xoxox
BEAUTIFUL sent from these lillies thanks Pete!
tea and biscuits!! bound to make me better!!

So it turns out back surgery isn't all bad news...

so far I've received 4 bunches of flowers 3 boxes of chocolates and a huge red package full of balloons.. id recommend doing what i did and combine surgery with you birthday because your more likely to receive all of the above in larger quantities! :)

Mum is my super hero! she stayed at the hospital with me every night!! i ended up being there 3 nights, the nurses were lovely and the food was yummy! (going private is definitely the way to go in the UK), now I'm home and mum continues to be the perfect person to look after me, i have a constantly warm hot water bottle, endless cups of tea offered, home made dinners (and desserts), shes been helping me wash, dress and walk. i am forever thank full for her.

Ive spent the last 5 days sleeping ALOT! and not much else, Ive been doing tiny stretches and exercises (given to me from the physio at the hospital) and today i am feeling SOOOO much better! i feel awake for a start, i went for a walk around the block in the frosty Oxfordshire afternoon... so pretty! had my first proper coffee since being home (at last) and finally tonight i will be sleeping in a proper bedroom (upstairs) instead of my make-shift rest-bed in the office downstairs..

so all in all right now I'm comfy in my new 'bedroom' feeling stronger and on the mend, less drugged up than i have in the last week and definitely on the road to recovery.

Thanks to all of you for the well wishes and flowers and cards and calls and messages... you have really made me feel special.

big love xoxox enjoy the pics x
